This week, I am in Normandy together with our undergraduate biology students for their intensive marine field course.
Over the course of the week, students explore coastal biodiversity, follow tidal gradients, and learn how different species can be used as indicators of environmental conditions. I am joined by my PhD student Noémie Buratto, Prof. Alice Dennis, Dr. Boris Hespeels, and Marie-Laurence Hubin.
Field teaching is always one of the highlights of the academic year, and it is wonderful to see students engage directly with marine ecosystems. 🌊
