KU Leuven Team Science Award for killifish research collaboration 🏆

I am honored to have been part of a team that received the KU Leuven Team Science Award 2026.

The award recognizes our collaborative efforts to establish the turquoise killifish (Nothobranchius furzeri) as a research model and to develop a highly multidisciplinary network around this species, including the creation of a dedicated culturing facility. The initiative brought together researchers from different disciplines, departments, and institutions to tackle all sorts of cool scientific questions!

A special congratulations to all colleagues involved in this remarkable team effort, including our PhD student Nicole Goede. It is wonderful to see collaborative science recognized in this way.
